The Chicago Virtual Showcase was founded in 2009 by director and producer Matt Miller. Previously known as Matt Miller’s Virtual Showcase, the Chicago Virtual Showcase is an invaluable resource for both actors and industry professionals alike.
In addition to her self-tape business, Kate McCoy is the session director and editor for the showcase. Here’s how it works: actors are scheduled for a recording session with Kate where they present a prepared monologue/scene and commercial copy. The recordings are then edited and posted on the showcase website, and a link is sent to an extensive list of agents, casting directors, producers and other industry professionals.
