Editing Complete!

Last Wednesday I recorded the October Virtual Showcase and we really had some standout actors! It took me a little longer than usual to get everything edited, but the editing is finally complete and the showcase has been sent to the actors to preview.

After a few cancellations and unfortunately one actor who was too young to be included in this round (we’re working on the next date for a Kids and Teens Showcase), we ended up with seven actors total. We try to keep our numbers between 5 and 12 so as to present agents and directors with a manageable list of actors to review.

November Virtual Showcase

     Great news! Matt Miller's Virtual Showcase has posted for the month of November. There are 8 actors in this month's showcase, all unrepresented. Agents: don't let these actors get away! 

Update: Matt Miller’s Virtual Showcase is now known as the Chicago Virtual Showcase. For more info, click on the Virtual Showcase tab in the menu.

     Also, the November discount is coming to an end. Stay tuned for upcoming holiday savings!

     It's a new year, and things are kicking into high gear. This month, Matt Miller will be recording another Virtual Showcase for adults. Don't know who Matt Miller is? Check him out here.      At the end of the month, I'll be returning to The Second City Training Center with a coaching workshop and Virtual Showcase for teens. Agents are constantly looking for new faces, and this is a great opportunity to be seen by all of Chicago's agents, along with casting directors, producers, etc. - all at the click of a button. The Showcases Are Up!

     The September Virtual Showcases have been posted! This includes both the adult showcase and the teen showcase (Second City edition).

"What is a Virtual Showcase?"

     The Virtual Showcase was created by Matt Miller to provide actors a cost-effective way to be seen by industry professionals. Actors record a scene or monologue along with commercial copy and a brief interview, and the footage is posted online with their headshot and resume. The showcase is then emailed to more than 200 industry contacts in Chicago.

"So only Chicago industry professionals will see it?"

     Not necessarily! Since the showcase is online and accessed via a link, that link can be sent to contacts outside of the Chicago area. Trying to land an agent in New York? You can send them the link to your footage. All they have to do is click on the link in their email. It's that simple.

Happy September! Get a Discount!

     Fall doesn't officially start until September 22, but this cooler weather and the fact that I can sit in my apartment without sweating has me feeling all...whatever the emoji is with the red 100 underlined twice. 

     To give the humidity a proper sendoff, I'm offering a discount for the entire month of September. Half-hour sessions for tapings and coachings (normally $40) will be offered at $35, and one-hour sessions (normally $60) will be offered at $50. Virtual Showcase

We had a smaller group than expected today (darn cancellations!) but they were fierce, nonetheless! I had a great time with these delightful actors; they came prepared and ready to record. I hope to see much more of them on the audition circuit SOON.

Update (October 22, 2019): Matt Miller’s Virtual Showcase is now known as the Chicago Virtual Showcase. The format is the same - actors prepare a slate, scene or monologue, one to two pieces of commercial copy and a brief interview, which I record and then send to Chicago industry professionals.
